Advanced SpatialAnalyzer Course

BenefitsSpatialAnalyzer

So what happens when your early success with SA causes everyone to believe that no metrology request is impossible?  Relax.  SA has a wealth of advanced tools to meet your most demanding metrology needs.

Regardless of what instrument(s) you own, the Advanced SpatialAnalyzer Course builds on the basics of SA to improve your current processes and design solutions to meet more complex challenges.  For example, traditional fitting methods may be insufficient for orienting to a CAD model.  SA contains a powerful feature-based fitting algorithm to define optimum instrument transformations without relying on master tooling references.  Real-time build operations for details or entire assemblies are easily controlled with single or multiple instruments.  Ever wonder about measurement uncertainty?  SA not only quantifies it but shows you how to minimize it.  If automation is your need, SA’s Measurement Plan can fully integrate your measurement process from instrument start-up to final reporting

Measurement planLearning Objectives

Perform three types of best-fits and know when to use each.  Monitor objects “real-time” as they move in six degrees of freedom.  Explore various methods of analyzing and reporting results.  Work with point clouds and surface creation techniques.  Understand coordinate uncertainty and how it influences measurements. Automate measurement, analysis, and reporting functions using Measurement Plan.  Discover detailed settings and options to fine-tune your measurement projects.

Note: While SA works with all kinds of portable measuring devices, we'll be using an articulated arm, laser tracker, and/or laser scanner to acquire data during the course.  The techniques taught in the course are universal to almost all measuring instruments.
