The SRT-HT Series of retroreflective targets is designed
to be used in high temperature environments. Target dots are 3M® 7610 retroreflective material,
placed on a DuPont Kapton® backing, which offers
additional stability when subjected to large temperature
changes. This series employs a pressure-sensitive acrylic
or silicone adhesive (your choice), and may be applied to a variety of
materials. We always recommend an initial trial on a
test surface to determine ease of removability and
characteristic of any residue that may be left.
This series is available in two configurations (photo at
right):
- Individual targets. A roll of stick-on targets that may be
individually peeled off. (Used for random
placement on the measuring surface or for measurement of
specific features.)
- Consecutive targets. A roll of targets,
all spaced a specific distance apart, that may be cut by the customer into strips
of desired length. (Saves valuable setup time when
creating a grid of targets or when establishing contour
lines.)
The SRT-HT series may be ordered in increments of 1,000
target dots, with a minimum order of 1,000 dots. Rolls
have a maximum length of 200' (61m), and the number of rolls
delivered depends upon the number of targets ordered as well
as the center-to-center spacing of consecutive targets.
Different background colors.
We offer a choice of two background colors: orange (often easier
to find by eye) or black (provides more contrast with the
target dot).
Various shapes. There are several shape
configurations from which to choose: circle, square, rectangle,
tabbed rectangle, and narrow tabbed rectangle. The rectangle is
merely a square that has been trimmed in order to reduce the
amount of adhesive on the measuring surface. The
"tabbed" configurations offer a small tab on each side of
the target dot, to which no adhesive is applied. This
tab provides a small "lifting handle" to make target removal
easier.
Different adhesives. There are several options
of adhesives - silicone or acrylic (good up to 300°F or
149°C), as well as very high temp silicone and very high temp
acrylic (good up to 500°F or 260°C). The
acrylic adhesive has passed NASA's outgassing test.
Adhesive thickness: Adhesives also come in either a 0.001" thickness or
0.002" thickness. Extra thickness equates to
extra "holding force".
Construct your desired part number using the
part number construction guide and values from the tables below. These tables show
many of the typical dot size and spacing options.
However, other configurations are also available.
