The 8415SY Camera Kit is ideal for a number of applications, including tasks that are repetitive or long term in nature, remote monitoring, in classroom settings, or when you simply want to make telescope images easier to see and evaluate.

The kit consists of a Sony CCD camera power supply, 9" black & white monitor, and an adapter which allows the camera to be fitted to the eyepiece on any of our 2022 family of alignment telescopes.

The analog camera weighs only 60 grams, and features excellent vibration and shock characteristics.  It has a 768 x 494 pixel output and a C-type lens mount.

When used with an infrared (IR) LED illuminator, this camera can capture images in very low light environments and/or easily detect features that are more distinguishable with IR illumination.
