The 2240 eyepiece is used in place of the standard eyepiece on a K+E type alignment telescope. It consists of a right angle eyepiece plus an illumination unit which can be used either for autocollimation or to project an image of the reticle onto a target.  The eyepiece unit may be converted in the field as required, to form a straight-through vision system or a right-angle system.  Our model 508 light source is included, operating on voltages from 110-220VAC.

Note: All model 2240 eyepieces manufactured after January 2008 employ the model 508 as the light source.  If you wish to upgrade an older version of the 2240 to accept the 508, you may do so by purchasing adapter number 15307.  Replace the bulb housing on the older models with this adapter, and you'll be set to use the 508.  Otherwise, the replacement bulb for 2240 eyepieces made before 2008 is the L3311-1 (GE157).
